HT Canada has been riding the wave of The New Spirituality! As the wave approaches the shore, they're ready to reload and teach others the wonderful joys of spirituality surfing!

As always, we'd love to hear from you. Don't be shy...your opinions are always welcome and respected here. Also, please pass on any information on group meetings, events, suggestions and/or articles. The more we share, the more we receive, and the sooner we remember Who We Are!

What on Earth DOES God Want?

A Timely and Very Important Message from our Friends at Humanity's Team United States

On May 13th, Humanity's Team United States is asking that you participate in our "What on Earth DOES God Want?" campaign! During the 24 hour period of May 13th we invite you to join with us in making a statement to the World that our beliefs about What God Wants are not working!

Best-selling author Neale Donald Walsch released a book in March 2005 titled, "What God Wants." This is one of the most revolutionary books you will likely ever read. Neale explores the commonly held ideas of What God Wants, delving into them to examine why these ideas are not serving us as a society and as a species.

What you can do:
You can click here to purchase copies of "What God Wants" from Amazon.com, or order one copy (at least) from your local bookstore (and make sure you tell them why May 13th is such an important day!). Our intention is to drive "What God Wants" to a number one ranking on Amazon.com, giving the book high visibility to thousands who could benefit from its message!

If you can, please purchase multiple copies of the book, because we're going to give you some ideas for how you can share this incredible message!

Give a copy to family and friends.
Offer a copy to a friend-you've-not-yet-made on the street.
Drop off a few copies at your local churches.
Put a copy in the hands of local spiritual leaders.
Add a copy to a Geocache - http://www.geocaching.com/
Post a message on the discussion forum - http://www.humanitysteamus.org/forum - offering it to those who cannot yet afford a copy for themselves.
Send a copy to someone overseas who may not be able to find a copy in their Country - we can help connect you with someone!
Deliver a few copies to a prison library, or find out how to put copies in the hands of someone who is incarcerated.

- Leave a copy on the trunk of someone's car at the grocery store.
- Leave a copy at the bus or train stop.
- Leave a copy at the barbershop or salon.
Be sure and include a note explaining that this book is free for the taking, and asking only that when they are done with it, they pass it on! By following this link, you can download and print a pre-designed label which you can affix to the book so all may know your intention!

HT Worldwide Gathering

Come together June 3 - 5, 2005

"Seeds of Transformation: Toward a Spiritual Renaissance in a Time of Fundamental Change" -- will explore the ramifications of an emerging trend leading to widespread shift in some of people's most sacred beliefs about God, life and humanity. The conference will also serve as the site of the 2005 Worldwide Gathering of Humanity's Team, a non-profit, pluralistic movement.

We are teaming -- no pun intended -- with one of the leading institutions of higher learning in the United States. We are co-creating a groundbreaking spiritual conference and festival with Bard College, rated one of "America's best colleges," according to U.S. News & World Report.

Be a Team Member - Contribute!

The Humanity's Team Global Council Meeting is being held at Bard College in New York, from May 28th - June 1st, 2005. This meeting is a great opportunity for all the Humanity's Team Global Coordinators to get together and exchange ideas and suggestions, and to discuss potential plans on coordinating our global progress as a Team.

The reason I stress team here is that it's teamwork that gets the total job done. We are all members of Humanity's Team and we all have integral parts we can contribute to the overall success of the Team.

So...keeping this in mind, I'd like you to think about something else for a moment. Have you ever been in a position of helping somebody who really needed it? Have you ever felt that deep-down soul-satisfying feeling that comes when you help somebody out when they needed it most - even if you didn't appear to benefit in any apparent way? Isn't that a great feeling? Well, now you have the opportunity to experience it again!

We want your help. Brandon Klayman, our Country Coordinator for Humanity's Team Canada, is expected to attend the above-mentioned Meeting in New York. However, since spreading the word of God through Humanity's Team doesn't involve a lot of fundraising, the coffers are rather low, to say the least. What we'd like you to do is to skip your next couple of cups of coffee, or your next burger, or what else might cost you $5 along your daily life's path. Just take that $5 and donate it to your Team. Even those of you who might be struggling financially can surely come up with $5. It's a wonderful way to promote our cause and our mission. We are trying to raise $1000 dollars so that Canada can be represented in this important Global Council event.

Good news from the Province of Quebec!

It is with pleasure that I am informing anyone who is not already aware, that we do have a Humanity�s Team Canada Provincial Coordinator for Quebec.

His name is Yves Fortier. I feel confident you will understand why I am taking the liberty of taking a few minutes of your time to give you a brief portrayal of Who Yves Is.

Yves has many passions such as the creation of videos, music, digital photomontage, writing - all of these arising from his strong spiritual belief which is in harmony with Humanity�s Team�s New Spirituality.

A project he cherishes and on which he has (and still is) invested a lot of time and energy, is his pilot project, which is part of our Educational Program, with respect to the transformation of a church into a School for Spiritual Learning, in the province of Quebec, based on the Humanity's Team�s New Spirituality � this school would be open to young ones as well as adults of all ages.

I feel confident that you will be as happy as I am to learn more about Who Yves Is and about his wonderful Educational Project. If you so wish, you can reach him at yves@equipehumanitecanada.com - I know he will be only too pleased to reply, with his usual generosity, to your e-mails.

About Our New Author

Gareth Marples joins the team

Hi there. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Gareth Marples. I joined Humanity's Team a couple of years ago but wasn't active until recently. Through the website, I volunteered my services in whatever capacity I could be helpful in. My request eventually got to Brandon Klayman, our Canadian Country Coordinator, who, because we both live in Toronto, thought we could meet for coffee and a chat. You can imagine our surprise when we found out we're actually neighbors, living only a block apart!

Our discussion led to Brandon's request for me to write the Humanity's Team Canada Newsletter, since I've had experience writing articles for the Internet over the past few years. I welcomed the opportunity to contribute to the team, so here I am, humbly doing my best. I'd just like to mention that I'm truly grateful for the gift of writing that God's given me, and I'm grateful that I have this opportunity to give back.

Just a little bit about my background. I'm the third oldest of 11 children, 9 of whom were born in England. We emigrated to Vancouver, BC in 1958. After a somewhat unsavory life, I moved to Toronto for a new start, and a wonderful one I found! I met my wife here (she's a native Torontonian) and I can easily say that I now live the most fulfilled life I have ever known.

My rise to a higher energy level and an expanded consciousness was a direct result of reading Neale Donald Walsch's books. I believe I've read almost all of them over the years and I strongly urge anyone who needs some inspiration to do the same. God has spoken to us through Neale and continues to do so. I'm currently reading What God Wants and I encourage everyone to snap it up right away. This is a book that warrants some serious examination. It's offered as "a dangerous book" and that's because it carries such a powerful message of evolutionary, mind-bending thought.
