Northern Lights: Canada's Spiritual News - One Part Contributing to the Whole!

Loving Greetings! HT Canada joins HT Worldwide, with its thousands of teammates surrounding this wonderful planet Earth, in embracing the message of Neale Donald Walsch.  This message, ultimately God's message, is one of truth, joy and love, all in no particular order and all interchangeable.  Put those together and we have the only message that needs to be heard throughout the world; and that is: We Are All One.  This is the most important message in the world today.  Why?  Because that is what it's going to take to change the direction society seems to be going in right now.  "We Are All One", and "Truth, Joy, Love".  That is what people need to hear, to experience, to share, to be!  That is what Humanity's Team is all about - understanding and knowing that We Are All One.  So why would we do anything to someone else that we wouldn't do to ourselves?  We wouldn't need to.  For, in reality, there is no need.  There is only Truth, Joy and Love.  And, of course, peace.  So if you want to live in a peaceful world - totally peaceful, with no wars or fighting or abuse or poverty of any kind - then all you want to do is encourage everyone you know (and even those you don't know) to join Humanity's Team.  Join a team who's sole purpose - and Soul Purpose - is to live Love and enjoy Life.

Humanity's Team Canada Gathering

October 28-30, 2005...The Drew House...Elora, Ontario

 Humanity's Team is very excited to put together its first Canadian Gathering at the Drew House in Elora, Ontario. The program begins at 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 28th and finishes at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 30th. Be prepared to stay busy, learn lots and have fun with fellow HT’ers including those from the United States and Australia!

The program will center on spiritual journey of self, the first and foremost objective of the New Spirituality. All of us are part of HT because we feel the call to "Do" on our to paths to "Be" and gatherings need to support and inspire us all individually / collectively in this calling. As we know to give is to receive, this is a format in which to do this one on one with each other.

Spirituality has many tools and avenues for personal development, and speakers are booked on the following topics. Emotional Intelligence, A Course in Miracles, Tapping your Intuition and Manifesting Infinite love to the World, Past Life and Spiritual Journeys to help Empower you to find your Truth, Going beyond the mind, a technique of the teachings of the Ishayas' Ascension, Chakras and Dream Yoga and Gourmet cooking ( by Roger Dafau of Drew House). More to follow on what we hope will be an elder speaking on Native Spirituality. Of course we will have speakers from and about Humanities team and what's up with that!

We also hope for DVDs/videos of one or two of the most inspirational speakers from the Bard W W gathering in New York ( June 2005) , or the Portland WW gathering ( 2003). These will be followed by facilitated discussion. There will be instruction on creating an Intenders Circle, and how you can use this tool with others.

Workshops planned are how to start, maintain and facilitate a group; the CWG game as a tool to learn the concepts of the New Spirituality; as well as how navigate and use the world wide web tools to stay connected to Humanity's team everywhere - Nexus, Blogs, Forums and “ Intranet”.

The days and times will be full, starting with introductions and networking Friday evening, beginning the mornings with meditation and exercise before breakfast and end with live music and informal fun and camaraderie Friday and Saturday night. There is no cost for this gathering, just a request for a donation. Cost of accommodations (personal choice) and meals (through Drew House) and T-shirt are separate.
 

A Message from our Country Coordinator

Dear Humanity's Team,

There comes a time when you know you've done your job, and it's now time to move onwards.  I am moving into the Worldwide Education & Inner Work Functional Team Coordination Role for Humanity's Team starting in early October. 

In my one year of serving Humanity's Team Canada, our team has accomplished many important initiatives:

- Canadian websites
- Communication systems
- Team Collaboration systems
- More groups have been created
- First Humanity's Team Canada Gathering - October 2005
- Consistent team meetings
- There are over 1000 teammates in Canada!
- Our country coordination team is at 10

... and others too!

I am not trying to show off here :-), it's about expressing what is so. And we have come a long way here!

We are all one, all equal, and have all - ALL OF US - contributed towards co-creating Humanity's Team, and HT Canada, Thank You EveryOne!

My one year of service has given me unlimited growth opportunities, unconditional love, transparent truth and incredible joy.  It's all there, truth, joy and love.

Humanity's Team is Growing!

Humanity's Team is a grassroots "civil rights movement for the soul". We know we have to start with one person and continually grow to gradually include all people, in sharing the wonderful message that "We are all one".  That one person was, and is, Neale Donald Walsch, as many of you know.  All Neale's Conversations with God writings have conveyed that message.  Now it's our job to spread the message.

And there's no doubt that we're growing and spreading the message.  When you think about it, isn't it inevitable that God's message will eventually be heard?  After all, isn't that reality?  Isn't that why we're here - to spread God's message of Life and Love to all who need to hear it?  And doesn't that really mean everybody?  Every living soul wants to wake up and remember Who He Really Is.  And it's our "job" to re-mind all our brothers and sisters that We Are All One.  And the really exciting thing is: It's happening, Folks!  All around us - and all around the globe - people are waking up to the Truth.

We're Becoming Official!

Hi Everyone!

We are excited to have begun the process of Federally incorporating Humanity's Team. Preliminary name search reports have been obtained to make sure no other name exists with that title and we are ready to go full steam. We have also named the required Board of Directors. The intention is to eventually qualify as a non-profit entity so that all future funds we raise will be fully tax deductible.

Without much effort put into the process so far we have raised $120.00 towards the total estimated cost of approx. $800 in legal fees.

We are looking to raise the rest of the funds through teamwork and urge you all to give to this fund. Alternatively, if you may know of anyone in the field, who has some experience in federally incorporating a non-profit organisation, and is willing to donate his/her services to this cause, please let me know. At the moment we are accepting pledges and cheques, so please make all payments to "Conscious Commerce" and mail to c/o Yasmin Virani, 4199 Renoak Court, Mississauga, L5C 4K3.

The Group Loop

Humanity's Team thrives and grows on its many groups.  These are groups of support, groups of love, groups that share, groups that care, groups that take the message of Humanity's Team as their mission and their purpose, groups that understand that "We Are All One"!  That's why we'd like to periodically focus on some of the groups in action today - to help those who'd like to join a group, and to help those who'd like to form a new group.  It's no surprise that the positive energy created by a group has tremendous power in achieving good for those in the group, and for those to whom that energy is extended throughout the world.

Humanity's Team Canada is a leader in growth and progression.  Their teammates have proven that theirs is an expression of unconditional love, of sharing and caring, of moving ahead towards a common goal - the goal of spreading the message of Oneness!  And that forward movement can be contributed to our onederful Coordination Team.  It's a team that creates from the core of God to the Coordination of groups, communication, and every other area that applies to the progression of Humanity's Team.

Words of Wisdom

This section of our Newsletter gives you, the reader, the opportunity to contribute some words of wisdom to share with all our other readers. Any kind of input or feedback is welcomed here.  And this month, we thank John Ross for what we've come to expect from him - nothing but loving truth:

Unconditional Love and God

In the early 1990's, I internalized the concept of unconditional love and began to use it in my everyday relationships. Like any new skill, there were many errors and omissions during the early days, but I persevered and slowly became more adept. There followed a marked improvement in my relationships, that continues to this day, and none improved more than my relationship with myself.

A few years later, 1998 to be precise, evidence of the reality of God overwhelmed me, ending over thirty years of treating God as irrelevant to my life. As I searched for a God to whom I could relate, I initially returned to my childhood religion, readily available just down the street, only to find God represented there as less than unconditionally loving. This seemed to me to be incongruent. Was it possible that my ability to learn and practice unconditional love exceeded God's? Was it possible that I had made all this progress toward becoming a loving being and God was lagging behind?

These possibilities seemed completely implausible to me and I continued my search for a representation of God that had more resonance with my experience. Shortly thereafter, I came upon the CwG material in which God and Love are synonymous, where God is Love and Love is God. That certainly resonated and I became a disciple of this new representation of God now known as the New Spirituality, a belief system based on three core beliefs:
                We are all one.
                There is enough.
                There is nothing we have to do.

As a safeguard against humanity's existing penchant for elitism and win/lose approaches, New Spirituality has added the belief that there is not a better way to the oneness, which is God (Love), there are many ways. Thus diversity is embraced and divisions disappear.

These were mileposts along my continuing pathway toward the oneness and I share them in the hopes that some of you may relate and benefit from that sharing.

Thank you, John.  And now a correction from last month's newsletter.  Judith Harper's bio stated that the "Tactical Interpersonal Communications: Skills for Justice Studies and Emergency Services Training" was published in Canada in 1904.  Oops!  Our beloved Judy, though very mature in thought and deed, is nowhere near that age!  The year should have read "2004".  Thanks again, Judy, for your loving input.

And here's another onederful example of words of wisdom, this time from Anne Cressy.  Thanks, Anne, for your loving input.  And although the events referred to in this essay have already come and gone, the power of the words carries on.  Heed them - they're wisdom indeed!

First Day of Fall

As I watched the images on television from LA airport last night I held my breath and I held that plane. It was annoying to have the dinner hour taking a back seat to another crisis in the world. I've had the distinct feeling that our God is trying to tell us something, but I haven't been able to distinguish what from the cacophony of sounds I'm picking up.

There had been time to get an image of holding the airplane safe in my mind's eye. Safe became a particularly urgent feeling as the front wheels flamed from the friction of the landing. The words that formed on my lips were My God, No! And I meant it. I was not willing to witness that plane becoming a funeral pyre on public television. I prayed and visualized the plane coming to a complete stop, flame free. As soon as that was accomplished my attention turned back to the company I'd been entertaining before the news visuals had superimposed themselves. It wasn't until this morning that I realized what we had done.

There was a similar incident in Toronto airport some weeks ago when a plane lost control due to weather. One of the passengers mentioned the feeling of everyone pulling together into one organized consciousness focused on a "good ending." It was as if every one of those people realized they were all one and were only going to reach safety as individuals if they reached safety as a group. With the focused intent of hundreds of people all reaching for the same end, of course they created a "miracle." They created their reality, no lives were lost.

That the theory can't be proved must not prevent us from taking a lesson from these airplane landings. Let's focus on calming the weather systems in the Gulf by cooling the waters. If every individual, a believer or not, focused on cooling those waters we could stop the building of force five hurricanes such as the one that is now assaulting the Galveston area of Texas. This problem appears overwhelming, but it can be solved if we step outside our normal frame of reference.

Let me be clear. I'm not asking everybody to pray together. I am asking that we all visual a more workable ending to an otherwise overwhelming situation. As soon as I ask most people to pray they look at me as if I've turned into a multi headed gorgon. I don't blame them either. Religion has done everything right to turn sane, sincere people away from it's practices. God has become a dirty word. Too many atrocities have been committed in the many different names of God for any thoughtful person to take religions, any of them, seriously anymore. Having said that, how does one bring the soul of the individual back into our big picture of reality? We've ditched the God trip with good reason. Science made a stab at and failed to fill religions boots as a substitute explanation for our existence.

In the last book of the CWG series that I've read called Tomorrow's God, God makes a point that you can substitute the word love, or the word life for the word God and make the same point. In the book they take one paragraph and do exactly that. Those words interfaced with each other like gloves on a finger. Taking that idea a little further I propose, for the time being, that we drop the use of the word God, and focus on the other words.

If changing semantics stops alienating people, so be it. Life is asking us to rise to the occasion. We can sit and watch, mesmerized, as the television pumps us full of horrendous images, or we can accept the challenge and visualize the wind calming and waters cooling. I see people all over the afflicted areas being moved by a spirit filled with calm and courage if they so choose. I see people choosing to help others before themselves, some, for the first time in their lives. I feel the yearning toward a better relationship with life coming from everyone of the individuals facing crisis at this moment; they will become more of themselves, grander versions of themselves than they ever knew they could be. I feel every one of the witnesses yearning to help and discovering how they can. The wave of creativity and light coming from this supposed catastrophe is shifting our mass consciousness away from it's fear based beliefs to a focus on the miracles performed by everyday people with loving intent.

May your envelope of light and love shine true

The Editorial Section

Letter from the Editor Collective Consciousness The consciousness of the world, or at least the Western world, seems to be focused almost entirely on the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina. Every day, images of destruction and despair are presented to us on newscasts and in newspapers. Every day, we’re seemingly drawn to the terrible and horrific circumstances that are broadcast through the media. This is a prime example of the result of the collective consciousness of our world today. We seem to be bombarded by negatives. From every direction, we’re sent messages of violence and poverty, of destitution and despair, of sadness and loss. People see the newscasts and stand aghast, wondering how things like this can happen, why things like this can happen, and, most of all, wondering who is responsible. Well, have you ever heard the expression, “The buck stops here”? Or perhaps, “It all begins with you”? Or how about, “If it’s to be, it’s up to me”? Basically, they all say the same thing. And they all mean the same thing. And that is: everything that happens in this world is a result of our thinking – our collective consciousness. So many of you, at this point, are probably wondering what this has to do with Hurricane Katrina. Well, everything! You see, “natural disasters” are either the direct or indirect result of somebody’s thinking, somewhere in the world. And the lower the level of energy and vibration caused by that thinking, the “worse” the apparent results. Let’s look at this from the very beginning, from the simplest basics. First and foremost, We Are All One. Nothing can change that – it just is! Second, God loves us so much that he gives us total freedom to make our own choices – He doesn’t judge, He doesn’t punish, He doesn’t reward. He just loves us unconditionally. He lets us live the lives we choose, directed by the choices we make. And isn’t that what we need in our lives? Isn’t that what we need in the world today – unconditional love? Unconditional love! Think about it. What does it mean to you? Unconditional. The dictionary defines it as “complete and not limited in any way”. Did you get that – “in any way”! Love has no conditions. Love has no boundaries. Love is eternal, unlimited, everything, All – without walls, without edges, without limits, without anything that suggests anything but complete perfection – complete Love! So, getting back to the catastrophes that occur around the world, and are occurring with increased frequency, why do they happen? And what does people’s thinking have to do with these “natural disasters”? When you look at it from a consciousness point of view – everything! That’s right – everything! One person’s thinking has power, but nothing compared to the consciousness of many people of like mind. So we need to be aware of the collective consciousness – the power of many minds projecting energy into the Universe. Remember that whatever the Universe receives, it gives back in equal proportions – sometimes even increased proportions. So collective consciousness definitely and absolutely comes into play here. Collective consciousness creates what’s happening in the world today – the violence, the pain, the devastation, the despair – all the negatives that appear in the world today. And that’s where Humanity’s Team comes in. No, Humanity’s Team isn’t the Superhero. Humanity’s Team isn’t the be-all-end-all Savior. Humanity’s Team is merely a group of people who are doing everything they can to create a positive collective consciousness. They pray together. They meditate together. They project their loving thoughts together. And all in the name of Love. Humanity’s Team is an organization dedicated to establishing groups around the world with a common cause and a common mission – to create peace and harmony in the world. Humanity’s Team’s goal is to carry the message that We Are All One to every corner of society, to every individual and every community; that all we want is peace; that all we want is for people to understand that We Are All One; that we have no reason to fight; that we need to remember that we were put here on this planet to express God’s attributes: creativity, kindness, beauty, love, expansion, abundance, receptivity. These are the attributes that God’s given us to help us in creating a world that’s built on the only principle that really works – the principle of Love. When we surround ourselves with Love, we find that Life is happiness. When we surround ourselves with Love, we find that Life is total joy. And now, getting back to what appears to be “real life”, we’re reminded of the negativity of New Orleans and surrounding areas. And we wonder what all this has to do with that. What indeed! We can only conclude that all that happened in New Orleans, Louisiana, and the surrounding Gulf Coast areas, was a result of a negative collective consciousness – a consciousness created by low energy vibrations. So how do we change that? How do we help? What can we do to improve the situation? Good questions – with only one answer. As Humanity’s Teammates, it’s our calling to direct all our positive energy to the areas that are calling out for help; all those areas that have experienced the ultimate devastation; all those areas that need a change in outlook and hope. Hope is what Humanity’s Team offers. Love is what Humanity’s Team can give. We have that Power. It’s our responsibility to give, to love, to offer prayers – to do whatever’s necessary and whatever’s needed to provide the optimum help to that part of world that requires it. And let’s not stop there! There are many other areas in the world that need positive energy. There are many countries in the world under siege. There are many countries in the world that are suffering from violence. They need our help! We have the Power to give it to them! Let’s do it! Right here! Right now! There’s tremendous power in collective consciousness. Many people with a like mind – with like prayers, projecting like positive energy – can create very positive results. We have the Power. We have the positive energy. Let’s project it – right here, right now! Let your Light shine – all around the world! Letters To the Editor
