Elora Gathering Summary
Elora Gathering Summary & Pics!
The first Canadian Humanity's team gathering took place at the Drew House in beautiful Elora, Ontario on October 28th to the 30th. There was a full house with team mates from Ontario, Alberta, Michigan, Colorado and New York. The program kept us busy. The weekend was filled with an exciting energy stimulated by speakers, videos, live and interactive music and the workshops. The networking that was accomplished in all these forums, plus the superb meals that kept us all sustained meant we experienced every facet of our oneness in a camaraderie that holds us together still.
Friday evening began with an opening address by Canadian Co-ordinator, John Ross. Wilma Lagerwerf and Mark Brewer next facilitated a creative group introduction. In short order all were enjoying the process of introducing each other, forming new friendships that would continue to deepen throughout the weekend. This session was followed by a video featuring Neale Donald Walsch. The evening ended with wonderful live music by the talented and animated pair of Jim Johnston and Carol Birchmore Timney.
The schedule for Saturday began with delightful bodywork by Judith Onley. This exercise was designed to awakened body's and minds for the speakers and workshops to follow. Nirada from Ishayas Ascension lead us through a guided meditation technique. A talk by Allen Green on Past Lives and Spiritual Journeys was well received. Judith Harper shared and talked about an amazing personal journey on spiritual emergencies and transformation that touched us all in its magnitude of personal strength. Our own Mark Brewer led us next through a beautifully presented talk on accessing spirit through intention, intuition and how we incarnate infinite light and love into the world. Bill Koerner spoke around his experiences on connection between Spirituality and technology. Lunch was accompanied with a lovely dedication by composer Michaela Tanaka to Humanity's Team of the song "Awakening the Earth", in commemoration of the First Humanity's Team gathering in Canada.
The afternoon began with a message from Humanity's Team World Wide coordinator Steve Farrell. (about what do you remember Wilma). This was followed by a video starring Dennis Weaver on the subject of Economics, Ecology and Spirituality. John Ross spoke about his personal experiences in Spiritual transformation which was followed by "walk" through a metaphoric story written and presented by our newest core team mate Shawn Jimmo called "The Journey of Self". This last presentation of the afternnon was by Gerry Harrington on Humanity's Team roles as individuals. After dinner, Jim and Carol started the evening entertainment with more fun music followed by an animated and interactive drumming and percussion experience with Dr Larry Nubaum.
After Sunday breakfast and the stimulating bodywork of Judith Onley, all enjoyed a talk by Wolfgang Vincetti from the Gnosis Association on Dream Yoga and Astral Projection. Workshops then began on the Conversations with God game with Carol Birchmore Timney and Jim Johnston , Creative and healthy cooking by Roger Dufau, and how to start, maintain and facilitate a Humanity's Team or CWG group by Jim Johnston.
The weekend wrapped up with individual presentations by Humanity's Team members Tanya Dixon, Brandon Klayman and Wilma Lagerwerf on their personal passions/roles within Humanitys team.
Based on the evalutions collected and comments made throughout the weekend, all enjoyed themselves and the program presented, so we look forward to putting together the next gathering in Ontario in 2006!
