Unity Project: September - Change Ourselves

Dear Team mates,

Our gratitude to those who were kind enough to pick empty bottles and cans and gave us the fruits of their sale. Thank you very much! We will use the money to support groups working in promoting Oneness. For those who did not have time to recycle their bottles and cans, know that our program is still running. At anytime you can click on the PayPal button on our website to make a donation with the money collected. Thank you for your generosity!

Can we change the world?

The subject of our action for September came to my mind after hearing somebody talking about myself: Francine is trying to change the world!  We cannot change the world; we have power only on ourselves. But of what is the world made if not of all of us...and then yes, we can improve ourselves and by the way improve the world we belong!

I therefore propose to work on yourselves. Take responsibility for actions you do. For example, review the way you follow the rules of the road. A stop sign is there to allow traffic safely and avoid collisions. Do not do it to avoid a ticket but because of its efficiency. The same goes for speeding on the road.  Be logical, driving over 140 km/hour is dangerous. Drive more slowly for your own safety and not to avoid being arrested by a policeman. If everyone takes responsibility we will not need regulations. Their effectiveness will be enough for us to enforce them.

Courtesy is not limited to our car.  A door is open for someone who has their hands full...a smile to a passer-by...an attitude of openness to people are all signs of respect for each other. Set an example.  It's a very effective way to change the world!

Let's also point the way we manage our health. Sometimes aren't we eating a heavy meal and drinking more than reasonable? As the consequences are not always dramatic, we forget too easily that we are abusing of our wonderful machine! And what about our lack of exercise most of the time in our daily schedule? Is this responsible behaviour? There is certainly room for improvement...don't you think?

We can expand the list of examples to infinity. Let us be more aware of the scope of our actions. Humans more responsible are making a better humanity!

Thank you for your awareness. When you are improving your world you are improving mine too!

Namaste,
Francine
